Ha ha! I love how he admits it and you can tell he's got his grits about it. But face it Mr. Cole, Richard was boring, Jeffrey is too...do we see a pattern here??

David was best suited to play Edmund but he's suited for any type of role really. But in general, it takes a more talented actor to play a villain...or a character with flaws. Any fool can play a perfect, hero-type character. It's easy to play characters who are very fake. What is more difficult is playing a character with a lot of realistic human flaws. I think Jimmy Stewart once said that it's harder to walk into a room and say "Hello" in a way that seems realistic than it is to do some big dramatic thing.

DAM's good at keeping it real and palpable. Hence, he did make a better Edmund. He's good at getting inside the mind and is a smart actor. A better Edmund and a better actor hehehe
