Edmund returns--to help Cassie!
Springfield gets a special dose of deviance this week on Guiding Light when Josh and Cassie turn to a shocking source to make their baby dreams come true--Edmund.
"Josh gives Edmund a call out of the blue and throws this idea at him," previews David Andrew Macdonald (Edmund). "Edmund tells him he'll consider the idea, but he's wondering what he can do to get near Cassie."
The idea? Edmund testifies that Cassie should raise Will, the boy she handed over to his biological dad, Alonzo, to raise as the heir to the San Cristobel throne.
As for Edmund himself, he's been raising hairs at a mental institution. "One of the hospital attendants that Edmund is friendly with gives him access to things he probably shouldn't," chuckles Macdonald. "Edmund is up to a certain amount of trouble because that's who he is, but there's also a certain amount of tenderness because that's also who he is. Back in the day, he really softened up with Cassie."
And still does. Edmund agrees to help Cassie get custody of Will under the condition that she meet with him. Desperate to bring Will home, Cassie accepts. "Cassie is going to run into boatloads of trouble," warns Macdonald. "She'll run into problems where she never expected them."
And look for someone else to run into Edmund where they would never expect him.
