I think it was 1/7/05 when Edmund/Cassie wed, remember the day in your own way. Wish I could find some clip of Cadmund wedding.

Awww! I remember I sort of stretched out being home sick and got to see it all (and taped it too, of course). And, though it's sort of silly to state now, I remember it was in THAT moment that I was convinced that Cassie loved Edmund. Up until then...I did not trust or believe her. But once she said that line about..."I wanted to be the one person who didn't let you down, made you feel safe"...I was sold.
Of course...I was sold back a few months later...but I still say that's just called...poor writing. And we know that "GL" specializes in that haha! ~*ANGELA*~

I will say that the Cadmund wedding was one of the FEW things this regime has done well. The wedding was simple, but very nice, and fed in well with the theme of forgiveness and redemption.

As much as I had been looking forward to the wedding before that time, there were certain elements about it that I hated...namely, the Jonathan fiasco and Jeffrey officiating.
 After 2 years of J. O'Neill's presence in their storyline, I'd had my fill. Then along comes anger boy and Cassie reverting to juvenile behavior (yeah, I know, par for the course) and the shovel incident (which I think was the moment I saw the writing on the wall as far as Edmund's presence on the show) and I was hanging onto GL by a thread of a thread called DAM at that point. So I can't claim their wedding as one of my favorite moments.  Ellie  |

Oh man, I forgot about Jeffrey officiating. That was annoying and unneccesary and forced, I agree (especially when it was supposed to be Ross officiating!!) And, the Jonathan thing was over the top ... But, I liked the basic theme and simplicity of it.

I loved the wedding and like Jenn I think it was one of the few shinning moments of EW and DKs regime. I thought the ceremony was beautiful from the flowers, to the candles to the humor of plastic washers as wedding rings. I felt the vows truly defined Edmund and Cassies relationship. And my how gorgeous Laura and David looked. Aside from Jeffrey officiating, it was a great day for me as a Cadmund fan.
And looking back now, it was one of the last true romantic weddings on GL besides GUSH and Tammy/Johnathan. Since then we have had one quickie no frill wedding after another at Towers, in courtrooms, and even on Main Street (Dinah/Mallet, Cyrus/Alex, Doris/Alan, Josh/Cassie, Beth/Rick). Weddings used to be a big part of GL but not anymore unfortunately. |

I loved how they both looked and it was romantic but Cassie had tried to set up Jon the night before. She never loved Edmund like he loved her.
