I don't like DAYS because all this time from 1995 through the early 2000's the villain who was faking his death and plotting heinous things on everyone in Salem was Tony Dimera. Tony did this because John Black took Kristen away from him. But after James Reiley got unfairly fired, a new writer named Hogan flip flopped the story.
Just so Thaao's 80's female costar known as Anna could come back...Hogan unfairly re-wrote history and said it wasn't Tony being heinous all this time but was his cousin Andre. That's an outrageous re-writing of history, which shuts out the fans of the couple Tony and Kristen from the 90's. Cripplingly Days.
All the producers of Days had to do was wait until Eileen's contract with B&B expired or work a deal to bring her in now rather than later. But did they do that? No, they did not.
This led to the recent disappointing deaths of both Andre Dimera and John Black, which basically slaps the faces of the 90's Days fans of the John/Kristen/Tony triangle and it shows a disrespect to Eileen Davidson and her fans as well.
They expected Kristen to be reunited with John and Tony. The fact Hogan made Andre = fake Tony threw that all away. Hogan threw away what could have been a great storyline for the future of Days of Our Lives. But he blew it. He blew it.
The most disappointing thing is Thaao and Drake went along with this. They should have kept the fans in mind first and fought Hogan until Eileen came back to the show. That would have been fair to the fans. The right thing to do. But both of them didn't do that and what we have here is wasted opportunities and dreams.
I mean There wasn't even a final showdown between Andre and John over Kristen after the flip flop by Hogan. And Stefano never told Andre that Kristen was alive on some island out there forced to accept her fate. This never happened. Never materialized. Could've been a big story but Hogan dropped the ball. The producers dropped the ball too.
This is why I don't like Days of Our Lives. Soaps are dwindling down because of massive blunders like these. I hope things will change or else soon I'll stop watchin' Soap Operas forever.
