I called GL Fri and from what the person told me it sounds like GL is done at CBS - however she did say they were trying
to work something out with another "network" to show GL and she made a big point to keep checking GL site http://www.guidinglight.net/ for any info about is going to happen with the show. And I did get in enjoying DAM
[Edmund] this week.

We don't know what will be GL replacement yet - CBS has not announced what it will be yet -
wonder why CBS will not announce the nushow [think they are scared of something] or will CBS just give GL time over to local stations - btw GL/P&G called
me this week and I also talked to CBS - I told them what I thought [may have mentioned DAM [Edmund] and they told me a few things.

Got in calls to both GL and CBS today - both say GL is suppose to end 9/18 not 9/21 - told CBS what I thought about a 50 yr. old
game show taking GL place - told GL what I thought about Edmund coming back also about baby Henry, Josh, Reva, Jon, Jeff, Olivia and about a Edmund/Jon twist
that could be interesting.

CBS is replacing GL with a new version of the Game show Let's make a Deal - with Wayne brady
" "new Lets make a Deal is going to replace GL..... A big 'Deal' is coming to daytime. CBS announced Monday it is reviving the game show 'Let's Make a Deal' as a replacement for the canceled soap 'Guiding Light.' Wayne Brady will host the one-hour daytime series, which is a modern update of the zany Monty Hall classic (1963-1977) in which the contestants dress up in outrageous outfits to win cash and prizes. "I am honored and ready to go; it is not every day that you get to be a part of a franchise like 'Let's Make a Deal,'" says Brady. "I think it is a perfect fit." Brady, known for the improv show 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?', has plenty of hosting experience, most recently on 'Don't Forget the Lyrics,' as well as on his own talk-variety series, 'The Wayne Brady Show.' The new 'Deal' premieres on Monday, Oct. 5th, two weeks after the series finale of the 72-year-old soap 'Guiding Light' on Friday, Sept. 18th. Repeats will air in the two-week interim.
