I am so tired.We went to the festival 2 hours before it started because there were a lot of kid things there. My niece wasn't interested though so we just sat on the blankets. Around 06:30 I went to take a peek where I thought the actors were about 15 feet away. This lady told me I couldn't go in that area so I was crushed. An hour later and I am bored silly so I followed this guy through the field and he was taking pictures-she must have gone to the bathroom. I see these people practicing killing Caesar, and losts of people just milling around the trailor but no David. So at the last minute I see this guy with his back to me and I think it could be and I notice the lady is behind me. Them I think that is him so I start trying to run because he is walking the other way now. So I say David, and he looks startled and I say I am from the Den and your old fan, Gail. He says Hi Gail are you from St Louis and I say now David didn't you ever look at the postmark because I don't think he remembers my letters. So I feel so goofy I am like are you going back to GL. He looks surprised and says No, they don't want to write for Edmund, and I said but someone said you were coming back last month. He says News to me but he would love to return to the show. I said Do you talk to Ellen Wheeler and he said She will contact me if she wants me. I asked if I could take his picture and he said of course. Then he called over a guy to take our picture. I told David he wasn't 6'3 but he said he was. He said two guys in the cast were taller than him. He has amazing blue eyes and he looks like he has lost weight. His hair is real short and grayish on the sides. He was wearing a toga but it went down to his ankles. I told him the ladies on the Den would be so disappointed. He said St Louis was beautiful and I said but it is so hot. He said he grew up in Washington and it is hotter there. He said he hasn't had a chance to see anything he is just practicing all the time. He said then he had to go practice. I said, well it is your birthday soon and I want to bring some cards from everyone but I don't know if I can get through security again, if I come can you waive me through or something. He said sure, there is no security here and I said well, I was stopped but I snuck in. He said "Are you staying after the play and I said No, we had too many kids with us. He wanted to know if more Denners were coming and I said Yes but didn't know when. I asked him what his birthday plans were and he said he had a friend flying in. I asked him about the wife and kids and he said she was staying home with them. Anyway, I think I was really flustered because I wasn't really expecting to see him. He asked twice if I was staying after the play??? Anyway, my sister thinks I am shameless and my niece doesn't believe me. David was wonderful in the role. My niece said which one is he and I pointed him out and she is like He talks a lot. David had tons of speeches and dialogue and several changes of Togas and I got pictures of all of them. The play was 3 hours long but I really enjoyed it and there were a lot of people there. I can't believe I met him. I am going back in a few days with the cards and letters.
